Amazon
I have worked with Amazon since 2001, first as an employee then transitioning Amazon into a client in 2005. I have experience working on a wide variety of projects that reflect the multi-faceted business efforts with amazing teams within the company. My current work is primarily UX focused for internal tools.
A Trusted Partner
Some of the ground-breaking retail and technical teams I’ve worked with at Amazon include AWS, Amazon App Store, Amazon Services, Amazon Payments, Gift Cards, Amazon Student, House Brands, many retail businesses and DevCon. I've been trusted with brainstorming and designing nuanced user experiences for efforts such as Warranty, Installation, Gifting options, Seller Central and internal UX/UI.
Warranty & Installation UX
Amazon was poised to provide extended warranties and installation services to customers in specific product lines. I was asked to create user flows and mockups solving the problem of how to offer these services to the user. We optimized the purchase experience for the user by offering the opportunity to purchase a warranty and/or have the item installed in their home directly on the purchase and cart pages.
Gifting Options UX
Amazon approached me to provide solutions to streamline the gift wrap/message offering. At the time, gifting options were an extra step in the checkout pipeline.
My goal was to give the user the opportunity to choose gifting options that didn’t interrupt the checkout process. I accomplished this by utilizing the customer’s focus on the checkout and cart pages. Increasing opportunities to take advantage of gifting options and decreasing friction in the purchase experience.
